The City of Hope Outreach seeks to assist families in having an enjoyable Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. Over the past few years, COHO has been able to bless many families with meals and gifts for the holiday season. Our intention in giving during the holidays is to demonstrate the Gospel and at the same time maintain the dignity of men and women created in the image of God.
Hand Up for the Holidays is our way to provide families with a good holiday and at the same time combat a welfare approach that can rise during the holiday season. There are two ways that you can be involved.
Thanksgiving Meal
This is an opportunity for residents and Christians from outside of the community to come together and celebrate a Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings. Partnering with local churches and business, food is cooked and served with music and fellowship.
Christmas Store
Christmas is the biggest holiday of the year. The Christmas Store is a place where men and women can come and purchase donated gifts at 70-80% off the purchase price. This opportunity is provided to reaffirm a family’s dignity in being able to purchase gifts and at the same time provide the opportunity for a good Christmas.
